Van Holten's story begins in 1898 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jerry G. Van Holten, a Dutch immigrant, had a dream of starting his own successful business by becoming a vinegar distributor. He quickly expanded his business by adding sauerkraut and pickle products! It wasn't long before the Van Holten family developed the original Pickle-In-A-Pouch in 1939.
